Right of Withdrawal (EU & UK)
Consumer cancellation rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Part of our Returns and Exchanges policy.
The short version. If you live in the EU or UK, you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, no reason needed, and get a refund to your original payment method. The one exception: products sealed for hygiene cannot be returned once the seal is broken. Unopened items are covered in full.
Who this applies to
Consumers whose delivery address is in a European Union member state, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom. Business purchases are not covered. Everyone, everywhere, is also covered by the forttroff.com Satisfaction Guarantee.
Your right to cancel
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods (or of the last item, where an order is delivered in several parts).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us, forttroff.com, 18047 Beach Blvd, #225, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States, email info@forttroff.com, telephone +1-714-933-7204, of your decision to withdraw by an unequivocal statement (for example an email). You may use our online withdrawal form or the model withdrawal form below, but neither is obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.
You must send back the goods to the address we provide when you contact us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
Exception: sealed goods for health and hygiene
Under Article 16(e) of the Consumer Rights Directive and Regulation 28(3)(a) of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed after delivery. forttroff.com products are sealed for exactly this reason. If you break the seal, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that item. You can inspect the outer packaging and the sealed product as you would in a shop; you cannot open the seal, use, or try the product and then withdraw.
Legal guarantee of conformity
Separate from the right to cancel, you are entitled to a legal guarantee that the goods conform to the contract: 2 years from delivery in the EU and up to 6 years in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland (5 years in Scotland). If a product is faulty, contact us and we will repair or replace it, or where that is not possible, offer a price reduction or refund. This guarantee applies regardless of whether the product has been opened.

Common questions
Can I return an opened product under the 14-day right?
No. Products are sealed for hygiene and the right of withdrawal does not apply once the seal is broken. Unopened items in original sealed packaging are fully covered. Faulty products are covered by the legal guarantee whether opened or not.
How is the refund paid?
To the same payment method you used at checkout, within 14 days of us receiving your cancellation (we may wait until the goods are back or you show proof of posting).
Do I have to use the form?
No. The online form is the fastest route, but any clear statement by email that you want to cancel, with your order number, is enough.
