Our standard

forttroff.com is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance, the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882 and EN 301 549), the UK Equality Act 2010, the Accessible Canada Act and provincial legislation, and Australia's Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

What we do

  • Build on a platform (Shopify) whose themes and checkout are engineered for keyboard navigation, screen readers, and sufficient color contrast
  • Write descriptive alternative text for product images and meaningful link text
  • Structure every page with proper headings, labels, and landmarks so assistive technology can move through it
  • Support browser zoom to 200% and text resizing without loss of content
  • Caption or transcribe video content we produce
  • Respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid content that flashes
  • Test new features and templates with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen reader checks before release

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is ongoing work. We review the site regularly, prioritize any third-party content that does not yet meet our standard, and will provide any information on the site in an accessible format on request.
