Proposition 65

Some products sold on forttroff.com carry a Proposition 65 warning because they contain, or may contain, a chemical on California's list. The warning is a right-to-know notice required by California law; it does not mean a product is unsafe when used as intended. This page explains what it means.
What Proposition 65 is
The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, known as Proposition 65, requires businesses to warn Californians about significant exposures to chemicals the State of California has listed as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list contains more than 900 chemicals, including substances found in everyday products such as electronics, leather, metal hardware, and plastics. A warning is required unless a business can show exposure is below a threshold set by the state; many businesses provide the warning as a precaution rather than test each product.
Why a forttroff.com product might carry the warning
